2.0 : Akshay Kumar joins Rajinikanth in Chennai to wrap up the final schedule of Shankar film

It's known that Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar is making his Tamil debut in the upcoming Shankar film 2.0. The film, a sequel to the 2010 blockbuster, Enthiran marks the return of Thalaivar Rajinikanth in dual roles, as scientist Vaseegaran and Chitti - The Robot. Produced by Lyca Productions for a whopping Rs. 450 crore, the sci-fi thriller is said to be India's biggest film date and the second costliest Asian film after the Rs. 600 crore China fantasy adventure, Asura. 2.0 stars Amy Jackson in the female lead.

Catch had previously reported that the final schedule of 2.0 was commencing in Chennai with the lead actors of the film, Rajinikanth and Amy Jackson.

And now Akshay Kumar too joined the 2.0 team to wrap up the final schedule of the film. The actor has already reached in Chennai and will shoot his remaining portions of the film starting from Monday. A major fight sequence featuring both the superstars are scheduled to be filmed this week. The action scenes will be choreographed by Hollywood action director Kenny Bates, who earlier choreographed actions in films like Die Hard, Pearl Harbor, and Transformers.

The music of 2.0 has been composed by AR Rahman. The film also stars Adil Hussain, Sudhanshu Pandey, and Malayalam actor Kalabhavan Shajon. 2.0 is going to be released on 2017 Diwali in six languages, Tamil, Telugu, Hindi. English, Japanese and Chinese.
