Common Wealth Games 2018: More than 22 lakh condoms will be distributed free in the games; here's why

The Gold Coast has started filling the sports village with Commonwealth Games players, where they have arranged more than 225,000 condoms, 17000 toilet rolls and free ice cream for the athletes and official.

Thousands of participants and support staff have reached their temporary residence on the eastern coast of Australia before the opening ceremony on Wednesday.

The Organizers of Commonwealth games hope that the sports village will be comfortable and secure for 6000 players and team officials. It also includes their concern over the player's sexual health.

A large number of free condoms have been arranged by the organizers, which is approximately 34 condoms per person. It is about three condoms per day according to the competition that lasted for 11 days.

As per reports, the organizers feel that the Participants in Gold Coast villages can overcome stress and fatigue by playing virtual reality computer games or by spending time near swimming, artificial waterfalls or playing the piano. Apart from this, arrangements have also been made for free ice cream for them.

The organizers said that the dining room will be open for 24 hours and about 300 cooks will prepare food. Meals include Vegan, vegetarian, halal and gluten-free or lactose-free food.

There are 1250 apartments in the game village, which will be available for sale or rent from the first months of 2019.
