The Supreme Court has today issued a notice and asked the Election Commission to file an affidavit by March 28 on why the physical verification of VVPAT paper trail should not be extended to more than one polling station per assembly segment.
The apex court will hear the matter on April 1. This would be the first General Election in India’s history when the Voter Verified Paper Audit Trail will be used.
