West Bengal: 42-year-old psycho killer who kills women, rape their bloodied bodies arrested in Kalna

In totally like psycho-thriller movies, but the non-fictional story, a serial killer was arrested by West Bengal police on Sunday, who is suspected to be accused of killing five women and injuring several others. The incident took place in Bengal’s a man named Kamrujamman Sarkar, who is accused of killing a woman after hitting her with an iron rod and then having sex with the bloodied body, has been sent to 12 days’ police custody.

According to police Sarkar is also been involved in murders dating since 2013. Sarkar, a small-time trader of discarded materials is suspected of killing five women and injuring several others in East Burdwan and neighbouring Hooghly districts in West Bengal, the police said.

The 42-year-old Sarkat in his trendy formal attire used to enters homes during afternoon hours, when women are usually alone at home, in the pretext of taking electricity meter readings. He then used to strangulate the women with a cycle chain and an iron rod.

After ensuring women’s death, he used to have sex with the bloodied body. Bhaskar Mukhopadhyay, East Burdwan Superintendent of Police said that Sarkar to 12 days in police custody by the district court in connection with the murder of Putul Majhi at Goara village here on May 21.

However, some if the women managed to escape attacks by the pyscho killer, whose motive was to kill them. “Murdering the women seemed to be his main target," Mukhopadhyay said.

He also said that the accused had allegedly inserted sharp materials into the private parts of some of the women following their death.

The 42-year-old Sarkar is a married man and father of three children. He might have some personal grudge on women of the said middle-age bracket and police is investigating this angle. The accused use to ride a red bike and wear a read helmet. He was arrested in Kalna on Sunday after civic police volunteer stopped him on suspicion.

Following Putul Majhi’s murder, the district police had circulated footage of a suspect wearing a red helmet and riding a red motorbike to all police stations. He is suspected of killing other 4 women too.
