Delhi-NCR residents wake up to sunny morning on Thurday with temperature settled at 5.8 degree Celsius and maximum temperature recorded at 19.5 degree Celsius, as per IMD. Whereas, cold wave conditions continue to sweep Punjab and Haryana on Thursday, the meteorological department said.
Narnaul in Haryana recorded a minimum temperature of 1.3 degrees Celsius, three notches below normal, an official said. Both states continued to be in the grip of bone-chilling cold wave as minimum temperatures stayed a few notches below normal at several places.

Owing to low visibility 21 trains to and from Delhi were running late early morning on Thursday. The Air Quality Index was recorded in the "severe" category in several parts of Delhi. An AQI between 201 and 300 is considered 'poor', 301-400 'very poor' and 401-500 'severe', while the AQI above 500 falls in the 'severe plus' category.

According to data provided by Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC), the Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded at 418 (Severe category) in Anand Vihar, 426 (Severe) in RK Puram and, 457 (Severe) in Rohini at 5 am on Thursday.
