The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that Maharashtra, along with Telangana and Odsha, may receive light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorm on April 7.
The weather in Central and Northwest India will remain the same with no significant changes for the next five days.
Western Disturbance
A Western Disturbance, in the form of a trough in middle tropospheric westerlies running roughly along Long. 60°E to the north of Lat. 30°N, along with a cyclonic circulation, is present over Northeast Bangladesh and other over southwest Pakistan.
- Under the influence of the above disturbances, light isolated rainfall along with thunderstorm and gusty winds is expected in pats of West Bengal, Sikkim on April 5. Isolated hailstorm is also likely in Odisha on April 7.
- Light isolated rainfall along with thunderstorm and gusty winds is also expected in parts of Northeast India during the next four days with isolated heavy rainfall in Assam, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura on April 5.
- Light showers with thunderstorm are likely in parts of West India with hailstorm in parts of Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada on April 7.
- Light to moderate rainfall is also likely in parts in Telangana, Kerala in the next 4 days.
- No significant weather change in Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and in Rajasthan for the next 5 days.
Maximum Temperature Forecast
The daytime temperature is currently 2-4 degrees Celsius below the normal temperature; however, it is expected to rise by 3-5 degrees Celsius over the next five days.
Heat Wave Warning
Heat wave days are expected to occur over most parts of Central India, East India and Northwest India during April to June 2023. No heat wave warning for the next five days.
