As the second phase of Lok Sabha election is underway, an unprecedented situation occurred at the BJP headquarter in Delhi where during a press conference, a shoe was hurled at spokesperson GVL Narasimha Rao.

The press conference was being held after the BJP handed a ticket to Sadhvi Pragya Thakur from Bhopal constituency against Congress’ Digvijay Singh. A controversy had erupted as Sadhvi Pragya is currently out on bail, in the Malegaon bail case.
The man who hurled the shoe at the BJP spokesperson has been apprehended by the Delhi Police and has been taken to the police station where interrogation is on. Although, even after the shoe hurling incident, spokesperson GVL Narasimha Rao did not stop the conference and continued the attack over the Opposition led Congress and justified the appointment of Sadhvi Pragya from Bhopal.
Polling are underway in 12 states for 95 constituencies and the BJP is hoping high for its return to power in this election.
