A passenger was offloaded from the Vistara flight at the Delhi airport after he demanded to smoke inside the plane and eventually, the flight was delayed.

The news agency ANI tweeted saying, “Vistara flight UK 707 was delayed by over three hours.”

The flight UK707 Amritsar to Kolkata via Delhi was scheduled to take off at the right time, but the passenger requested the flight attendant to smoke as the flight was long. But he was denied as the regulations in the flight clearly suggests that one can bring in the cigarette but cannot smoke inside the plane. Although, there are smoking rooms at the airport and one can easily smoke at the airports.

The Vistara fight has issued a statement saying, “We confirm that a customer of UK-707 Amritsar to Kolkata via Delhi. After pushback from Delhi which was the intermediate stop en-route to Kolkata, we had an unruly customer situation who insisted on smoking on board. Vistara regrets the delay, however, safety and security of customers are Vistara's foremost priority and it does not accept unruly behaviour of any kind.”
