Congress party has expelled Irfan Hussain, district president of the NSUI in Shahjahanpur, after a video went viral where he said sexist remarks about women.
In a video, which has received more than 84 thousand views, the district president of the National Student Union of India Irfan Hussain had allegedly harassed a college of first year and even threatened her that she might not be able to study here peacefully.
In the video, Hussain claimed that ‘girls need to be in their limits’ He added that “You are just in the first year now, you have to stay here for three more years, sudhar jao (better behave). I will make it very difficult for you to enter the college.”

After an argument with the girl, Irfan was being taken away by the crowd present but was halted when he again commented stating that “Ladki agar daayre mein hai to hi acchi lagti hai" (A woman looks good when she stays within limits).”
A police official said, “An FIR has been registered against the accused. We will arrest him soon.”
Rohit Rana, the UP West President of the NSUI, tweeted that “NSUI शाहजहांपुर के जिलाध्यक्ष को तत्काल प्रभाव से संगठन से निलंबित किया जाता है"
