Video: Rahul Gandhi forgets to sign after taking oath as Lok Sabha member; Netizens say, 'Pappu is Pappu after all'
Congress President Rahul Gandhi took oath as a member of 17th Lok Sabha on Monday (17th June 2019). After taking the oath, Gandhi forgot to sign the Parliament register and was moving towards his seat.
However, he was reminded by officials and other several lawmakers including Defence Minister Rajnath Singh to sign the register.
Earlier, Gandhi skipped the first session as the Lok Sabha began for the first time after the general election 2019. He arrived in Parliament around 2.50 p.m. and took his oath in English.
However, after taking the oath as Lok Sabha memeber he started walking back to his seat without doing the customary practice. Soon, he was stopped by the officials and several lawmakers who reminded him of the necessary signature in the Parliament register.
After taking the oath as Lok Sabha member, Rahul Gandhi took to Twitter and wrote, ‘My 4th consecutive term as a Member of the #LokSabha begins today. Representing Wayanad, Kerala, I begin my new innings in Parliament by taking my oath this afternoon, affirming that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the Constitution of India’

Gandhi has been elected to Parliament from Kerala's Wayanad. Also, he had also contested from Amethi in 2019 Lok Sabha Elections but was defeated by Irani by a margin of over 55,000 votes.
