Sapping the life out of the people of the state, the temperature at many places in the state has crossed the mark of 44 degree Celsius in Uttar Pradesh.
Banda was recorded as the hottest place with a soaring temperature of 47 degrees Celsius, followed by Allahabad and Hamirpur recording 46.3 and 45 degree Celsius temperature respectively.
Met office has predicted a further rise in temperature with rain and thunder showers expected at isolated places.
The trouble is mounted by frequent power cuts.
The present weather conditions are likely to continue in most parts of the state.
