UP: 22 people drowned as boat capsizes in Baghpat

As many as 22 people died on 14 September after a boat carrying 60 people capsised in river Yamuna in Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh.

The rescue operation by the police is still underway. Meanwhile, the District Manager of Baghpat, Bhawani Singh, reported that 22 people have died in the accident.

Chief minister Yogi Adityanath has announced a compensation of Rs. 2 lakh for the kin of deceased.
