Amidst the number game in Goa Assembly, the two MLA’s of the MGP who had resigned from the party and joined the BJP, have been rewarded and Tourism Minister Manohar Ajgaonkar has been appointed as the new Chief Minister.
Goa’s new Chief Minister Pramod Sawant had earlier dropped the deputy CM Sudin Dhavalikar, post the two MLA’s of the MGP broke away from the party and joined the ruling BJP.
CM Pramod, in a statement had said, “I have dropped Sudin Dhavalikar from the cabinet. The decision on filling up the vacant seat will be taken very soon.” Post the demise of former CM late Manohar Parrikar, the instability in the Goa Assembly pertained as the Congress party had claimed to form the government.
