The director also addressed Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's decision to ban the film in West Bengal, calling it unfortunate and stating that she banned it without even watching it.
He added that the decision was politically motivated.

'The Kerala Story', starring Adah Sharma, is performing well at the box office, with a four-day collection of Rs 45.75 crore. It is expected to surpass the Rs 50-crore mark today.
Directed by Sudipto Sen and produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah, the film evoked sharp opposition from Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, who called it "RSS propaganda".
The film stars Adah Sharma, Yogita Bihani, Siddhi Idnani and Sonia Balani in pivotal roles.
The controversy erupted as the trailer of the movie claimed that 32,000 Kerala woman had gone missing and joined the terrorist group ISIS. However, in the face of protests, the figure in the trailer was later withdrawn.
