The first-year medical student who attempted suicide and was in critical condition passed away on the night of February 26. According to the police, the female student from MJM Hospital in Warangal city, Telangana, attempted suicide on February 22 and was rushed to the hospital for treatment.
The mortal remains of the medical student was brought to her residence today morning.

During the initial investigation, the police found that the victim was being ragged by senior students. On February 23, they arrested a second-year student in connection with the case.
Police has lodged a case under the SC/ST Act and Anti-Ragging Act and investigation is on to nab other senior students involved in the ragging.
