In a shocking and heartbreaking incident, a phone exploded in a man's pocket in a Mumbai's restaurant in Bhandup area. The man was having lunch in a restaurant when suddenly the phone in his pocket exploded leading panic in the restaurants.
In the hotel's CCTV footage recorded on June 4, the man can be seen jumping off his seat as the fumes come out from his phone. The man throws away the phone from his shirt's pocket and the smoke spread across the restaurant.
Struck by panic, people in the restaurant can be seen running out of the premises, in the video.

The man sustained minor injuries due to phone explosion and was later admitted to the hospital. Earlier in March, while using a phone a teenager died in Kheriakani district in Odisha.
The teenager was on call, while the phone was plugged in for charged and reportedly it exploded. The 18-year-old victim had suffered injuries to her hand, chest, and leg, and was taken to a local hospital where she succumbed to these injuries.
Phone explosion case is common to be reported, as people use phone while charging.
