At least 60 people lost their lives and several were injured during the celebration of Dussehra in Amritsar on Friday. After this horrific incident, a report emerged that Congress leader and Cabinet Minister Navjot Singh Sidhu’s wife Navjot Kaur was the chief guest at the Dussehra event. As per the reports, a local witness claimed that Navot Kaur had continued her speech during this tragic incident took place.
He also claimed that she left immediately after finishing her speech and also without providing any help to the victims. Also, the people who were gathered at the accident site had raised the slogans against Sidhu and his wife.
However, Navjot Kaur denied all the claims and said that ‘it is shameful that individuals are politicising the tragic incident.’

The witness also claimed that Congress had organised the celebration of Ravan effigy burning event without taking the permission.
Meanwhile, the state government has announced to provide the all possible help and will bear the medical expenses of the people who have been injured in the accident. Also, announced to give a compensation Rs 5 lakh to the kin of each deceased.
