Shiv Sena leader will be Chief Minister of Maharashtra, says Congress leader

Amid political impasse in Maharashtra, senior Congress leader Kagda Chandya Padvi on Tuesday said the process is still underway, Shiv Sena leader will be the Chief Minister of the state.
Speaking to a news agency, Padvi said, "Process is still underway, but the end result will be positive. Personally, I think the three(Shiv Sena-Congress-NCP) parties will form the Govt and a Shiv Sena leader will be the CM."

 


On Monday, Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), which is the third largest party in the state, to Raj Bhavan.

Maharashtra NCP chief Jayant Patil informed that the NCP will discuss the issue with its ally, the Congress, and get back to Koshyari by or before 8:30 pm on Tuesday.

Patil, however, didn't mention government formation while talking to reporters.

The Sharad Pawar-led NCP has 54 MLAs in the 288-member Assembly which is the third-largest party after the BJP (105) and the Shiv Sena (56).
