Sam Pitroda's 1984 riot remark: Arun Jaitley asks Rahul Gandhi, Will he sack his 'Guru'?

After BJP president Amit Shah, now Union minister Arun Jaitley slammed Congress over Rahul Gandhi's aide Sam Pitroda's comment on 1984 anti-Sikh riot on Tuesday. The finance minister of India, Jaitley asked Congress president, Rahul Gandhi will he remove his 'Guru' from the party. He said, Sam's comment is "reflective of the lack of remorse" of Congress over the 1984 anti-Sikh riot.

Sam Pitroda is in charge of the Congress's overseas units, had recently tried to brush off the BJP's suggestion that the 1984 anti-Sikh riot took place on the orders of former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi. "I don't think so, this is also another lie. What about 1984 now? What have you done in the last five years, talk about that. What happened in 1984, happened. What have you done? (Ab kya hai '84 ka? Aapne kya kiya 5 saal mein, uski baat kariye. '84 mein hua to hua. Aapne kya kiya?)," Pitroda told ANI.

The ruling government party BJP had claimed the Nanavati commission report to claim that the riot was in the influence of Congress. Around 3 thousand were killed in the anti-Sikh riot after the assassination of former prime minister Indira Gandhi. Indira Gandhi was assassinated accused of leader killer Sikhs in Delhi.

Today, the Finance minister of India, Arun Jaitley tweeted, "Sam Pitroda's 'Hua to Hua' reaction to the 1984 Sikh killings is reflective of the lack of remorse on the part of Congress Party with respect to the 1984 genocide." Then Jaitley also asked Congress President to remove his Guru. "Will the Congress President oust his 'Guru', who rubbishes the genocide of India's most patriotic community in 1984?"

Let us tell you that in the morning BJP again raised memories of Anti-Sikh riots by tweeting a video which included a clip of Rajiv Gandhi's statement, "When a tree falls, the earth shakes."
