Salman Khan Bail Plea Updates: Race 3 actor gets bail after he was announced jail for 5 years; Bishnoi community to move to HC

Salman Khan convicted in 1998 Blackbuck poaching case by Jodhpur Trail Court. The court sentenced him 5 years imprisonment along with Rs 10,000 penalty under Section 51 of the Act. The actor reached the session court. Salman's bail plea has been heard today and the actor will now walk free from the Jodhpur court today.

The lawyer of the Bishnoi community, Mahipal Bishnoi said, "He will have to submit two bonds of Rs 25 thousand each, he cannot leave the nation without the court's permission and will have to appear here again in person on May 7."

Salman Khan was convicted in most controversial 20 years old case; blackbuck killing by Jodhpur Session Court's Judge Dev Kumar Khatri and was sentenced to 5 years of imprisonment. Jodhpur Session court Judge Dev Kumar Khatri and Ravindra Kumar Joshi, who was expected to give the order on Salman Khan's bail plea have been transferred in a major reshuffle of Rajasthan's judicial officers ordered by the states High Court.

Both the session court Judge are being transferred among the 87 judicial officers reshuffle by the Rajasthan High Court. Judge Chandra Kumar Songara, district and sessions judge of Bhilwara will replace Judge Joshi. Meanwhile, Judge Khatri will be replaced by Samrendra Singh Sikarwar, who is the Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate in Udaipur.

According to India Today, after arguments from the prosecution and defense were concluded on Saturday, Judge Ravindra Kumar Joshi closed his eyes for a few minutes, smiled and said he needed some time. The bail order is likely to be pronounced after lunch at 2 pm.

According to the report, defense counsel Shrikant Shivade produced Tabu and Sonali in court one day and asked Bishnoi to identify the two women. He couldn't do so. When the court asked Bishnoi why he couldn't identify them even though he named them in his complaint, he replied that their unassuming attire of white salwar-kameez confused him. This helped boost Shivade's case that Bishnoi was not at the site of the killing but 150 metres away from it. The defense also added it would have been impossible to recognise people in the vehicle's glare at night.
