RPSC Paper Leak: BJP workers hold ‘Jal Satyagraha’ in Kota

Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) on December 26 protested against the state government in numerous districts of Rajasthan over the Rajasthan Public Service Commission paper leak case.

To attract Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot’s attention, some BJYM workers descended on the Chambal river in the bitter cold and started a ‘Jal Satyagraha’ in Kota. They continued their protest for several hours while demanding the cancellation of the entire examination.


Meanwhile, BJP workers also staged a massive protest in Ajmer over the Rajasthan Public Service Commission paper leak case.

Protestors raised their voices against the state government and alleged that it is playing with the future of candidates.

Recently, the Opposition in the state, BJP, demanded a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) inquiry into the paper leak case.

Meanwhile, police have arrested as many as 55 people in connection with the paper leak case. The arrested individuals included the alleged ‘mastermind’ of the paper leak.

The ‘mastermind’ identified as Suresh Vishnoi, who works as a headmaster at a government school in the Jalore district. The accused were produced before the court and were sent to police remand.

According to Udaipur SP Vikas Sharma, police had received information of the paper leak from several areas of the state following which a probe was launched by the Udaipur Police and the Special Operations Group (SOG). 

“The gang had taken Rs 10 lakh from the candidates for illegally providing them the questionnaire for the 'second-grade teacher competitive examination 2022',” Sharma said.

Following the paper leak, the state Public Service Commission cancelled the General Knowledge paper of the 2nd-grade teacher competitive examination and rescheduled it to 29 January, 2023.

“The Senior Teacher (Secondary Education Department) Competitive Examination, 2022 is being organized by the Commission from 21.12.2022 to 24.12.2022, 26.12.2022, and 27.12. 2022. The examination of 'General Knowledge of Group-C' held on 24.12.2022 from 09:00 am to 11:00 am has been postponed due to unavoidable reasons, the new date of the postponed examination will be January 29, 2023, The rest of the exam schedule will remain the same,” RPSC said in a notification issued on December 24.

The Commission has also barred up to 46 candidates from taking any public service commission examinations.
