Congress chief Rahul Gandhi attacks Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his silence on the latest brutal Rewari gang-rape case. Around 6 days after the 19-year-old girls gang-rape in Haryana, Gandhi hit out at PM Modi and said his silence on the case is 'unacceptable'.
Congress president also said over the lack of safety for women in India, Congress chief tweeted saying, "India hangs its head in shame as another one of its daughters is brutally gang-raped and that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's "silence is unacceptable."

Mr Gandhi is scheduled to be in Kurnool in Andhra Pradesh, also spoke out against rampant sexism while addressing a gathering. "Men have this mindset that women are not equal to them. This is something that we need to improve by means of social change — to make men realise that women are as capable as they are," Rahul said.
The second-year student, who was rewarded by President of India for emerging as a topper in CBSE board exam in Haryana was kidnapped from a bus stop in Kanina town of Mahendragarh district on 12 September when she was on her way to a coaching class. The accused, allegedly drugged and gang-raped at a room adjoining a tubewell in an agricultural field, the police said.
The main accused, who allegedly planned the kidnap and gang-rape of a 19-year-old second-year college student in Haryana was held by the police. Later, Dr Sanjeev and another man who owned the property, where the student was allegedly gang-raped, were arrested. Two other accused, including an Army man, is yet to be arrested and police said raids were being done to trace them.
