REET 2023: Cheating Mafia gets active in Rajasthan, police arrest dummy candidates appearing for teacher exam

The cheating mafia in Rajasthan became active as soon as the Rajasthan Subordinate and Ministerial Services Selection Board (RSMSSB) Primary and Upper Primary School Teachers exam started in the state.

The Jaipur Police on February 26 arrested nearly a dozen persons who were trying to cheat or appear in the recruitment examination.


As many as seven persons were arrested in the Sodala area for cheating in the school teacher examination. The cops also arrested two dummy candidates who were trying to appear in the exam on behalf of other candidates. The accused were identified as Arun Kumar, Shri Niwas, Vinod, Bhim Sen, Ajay, Vijay, and Prem Pal.

In Murlipura, the cops arrested a 33-year-old government teacher for trying to write the exam on behalf of someone else for Rs 15 lakh. The accused teacher, identified as Sangita Vishnoi from Jalore, is being interrogated by the Jhotwara ACP Pramod Kumar Swami to ascertain the number of people involved in the nexus.

Jhotwara police station also apprehended a dummy candidate for trying to impersonate another candidate. The accused identified as Mahendra Singh took Rs 6 lakh for the job.

Vaishali Nagar police station apprehended a 25-year-old man for impersonating another candidate to write the school teacher exam. Accused Ganga Ram Vishnoi forged documents to appear in the examination.

In Bharatpur, a man arrived at Smt. Kamlesh Pvt ITI College to write the exam for his sister’s husband but was arrested.

The accused, identified as Dheeraj, was taking the examination in behalf of his sister’s husband. The exam administrator suspected him, questioned him, and the entire incident came to the fore.

The RSMSSB Primary and Upper Primary School Teachers recruitment examination started yesterday and will continue till March 1, 2023. With this recruitment drive, the Board aims to fill a total of 48,000 teacher posts.

On Friday, the Rajasthan Police arrested the mastermind of senior teacher exam paper leak conspiracy Bhupendra Saran from Bengaluru airport.
