While the temperature in the northern part of the country is dropping, the minimum temperature in Rajasthan is rising. The temperature in the cities of the desert state has increased by 1-3 degrees Celsius.
If the weather experts are to be believed, the people of Rajasthan may have to wait for 7-8 more days for the chilly winter they used to feel mid-December. Currently, no Western Disturbance is active in North India, because of which states in the northern part of the country get heavy snowfall and good rains.
However, Churu has become the coldest place in the desert state with minimum temperature of 5 degrees Celsius on Sunday night. The nighttime temperature in districts under the Jodhpur division was reported to be above normal, while the minimum temperatures in the other divisions were nearly normal.
Sikar’s Fatehpur recorded a minimum of 6 degrees. The night temperature was 7.3 degrees in Karauli, In comparison, the minimum temperature was 7.4 degrees in Chittorgarh, 7.7 degrees in Pilani (Jhunjhunu), 8.9 degrees in Sangaria (Hanumangarh), and 10 degrees in Vanasthali (Tonk) and Sikar.
As per the Indian Meteorological Department, the night temperature was above 10 degrees Celsius at other places of Rajasthan.
The MET Department said that the weather conditions in Rajasthan are likely to remain the same during the next 24 hours.
