Rajasthan Weather: Light rainfall in some parts; check full forecast here

After continuously suffering from severe cold waves, Rajasthan has witnessed a gradual rise in minimum and maximum temperatures with light to moderate showers in some places.

According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), light showers lashed parts of western Rajasthan yesterday. The weather remained dry in eastern parts of the desert state.


Minimum and Maximum Temperatures

The weather department recorded 8.0 mm of rainfall in Rawatsar, 7.0 mm in Anupgarh tehsil, 6.0 mm in Hanbhuhangarh, 5.0 mm in Nohar, 3.0 mm in Suratgarh. Tibi, Sangariya, Tibi, Pilibanga, Karanpur, and Gharsana received 2.0 mm of rainfall, respectively. Rai Singh Nagar received 1.3 mm of showers, 1.0 mm in Ganga Nagar Tehsil, 1.00 mm in Vijay Nagar, and 6.0 mm of rainfall reported in Ganga Nagar.

The minimum temperature in Sirohi was 5.1 degrees Celsius, 5.3 degrees Celsius in Dholpur, 5.5 degrees Celsius in Anta, and Bhilwara. The maximum temperature of 28 degrees Celsius was reported in Jalore, 27.6 degrees Celsius in Barmer, 26.7 degrees Celsius in Tonk, and 26 degrees Celsius in Jawai Bandh (Pali).

Weather Warnings

As of now, there are no weather warnings for any part of the state. However, light showers are expected in isolated places of Bikaner, Jaipur, and Bharatpur divisions on January 23

Western Disturbance

A western disturbance is going to impact the western Himalayan region from today to January 26. The impact will be more intense than the recent western disturbance and will affect the plains of northwest India from January 23 to 25.

Meanwhile, the night temperature in the Delhi has also increased and it is expected to continue over the next six days under the influence of two western disturbances in the hilly region.

According to the IMD, there is a chance that the air quality in Delhi will improve as rain and high wind speed are expected in the coming days, which will wipe out air pollutants and filter the air.
