Three days after a 20-year-old orphan was found hanging at his uncle’s house in Jaipur’s Naharganj Mohalla, police solved the case and revealed some shocking facts. The police arrested the deceased’s uncle on November 7 on charges of murder.
According to the police, the uncle and aunt of the youth had slit his throat and hanged the body from the ceiling fan to make it look like suicide. Solving the case was a hard nut to crack for the cops as the boy’s funeral was done by the accused.
Yogesh was an orphan and was living with his uncle and aunt.
Kumher SHO Himanshu Rajawat said that the deceased’s parents passed away some years ago and he used to live with his uncle and aunt. On Friday, one of the accused's neighbours informed the police about the tragic incident, and his uncle and aunt, without informing the police, went for the boy’s funeral. Police took cognizance and visited the house and found blood stains at the crime scene. The blood stains and other evidence alerted the cops and they started the investigation into the matter.
During interrogation, the deceased boy’s uncle confessed his crime. “It was found that the boy used to confine himself in one of the best rooms of his uncle’s house. Yogesh also kept telling his uncle and aunt that his grandmother comes in his dreams and she told him that his uncle and aunt are not good people. The accused couple was also angry over the boy as he never let anyone come inside his room and touch his belongings. This is what irked the couple and they planned and executed the murder. Also, it appeared during the investigation that the uncle and aunt wanted to get rid of the boy,” Rajawat added.
Yogesh’s father died four years ago and his mother passed away 12 years ago. After the death of his parents, the boy was attached to his grandmother but she also passed away in March this year. Shocked and saddened by his grandmother’s demise, Yogesh was not even on talking terms with his uncle’s family.
