Police suspect that Meghwal could have been under the influence of alcohol, due to which he could not sense the initial heat of the fire.

The deceased and his grandmother were the only ones at home at the time of the incident. Omprakash’s grandmother was sleeping in another room and did realize that her grandson’s room was on fire.

A police investigation is underway.
