The Rajasthan High Court has dismissed a plea by the self-styled godman Asaram Bapu, who had applied for suspension of sentence in the rape case.
Asaram Bapu, who had filed the bail plea earlier as well, was rejected by the Rajasthan High Court again. In the application earlier, Asaram Bapu had stated that his wife Laxmi Devi is seriously ill and has been admitted to hospital.
Justice Sandeep Mehta, who had earlier rejected the bail plea of Asaram Bapu had said, “The court has no sympathy with such criminals.”
