The northern state Rajasthan with 200 Assembly seat is a battleground for Congress and BJP that follows an incumbency of kicking out the ruling party after 5 years of rule and bring opposition in power.
Since 1998 Rajasthan did not vote back a ruling government till 2013 assembly elections. In 1993 when the BJP was voted back to back and won the assembly elections, it was the last time in the history of India's desert state.
Congress, who is in lead in the state, however, calls it anti-incumbency win while BJP says if Congress wins, it will be incumbency victory followed since decades.
It will be interesting to see if, in this assembly election, India’s desert state buck anti-incumbency and bring back the Vasundhara Raje-led BJP government for another five years? Or will Congress dethrone the saffron party and take charge over the state?
And if Congress makes comeback, the big question that still remains big that Congress win in Rajasthan is anti-incumbency or end of Modi 'Leher' and the victory of the grand old party.
