Rajasthan: 1 dead after SUV falls into gorge

A man was killed and four others sustained injuries after their car lost balance and fell into a deep gorge in Jaipur’s Nahargarh hill area on November 16. The gorge was 300 feet deep.

The incident took place around 3 am when the group was returning from Nahargarh. Their SUV fell into the gorge as it lost control after hitting the boundary wall at a turn, police said.

The injured were taken to SMS Hospital, where an individual was declared dead. The deceased was identified as Deshraj.

Police said Deshraj had fallen out of the SUV while the rest were rescued from the vehicle. Deshraj was posted in the fire office in Amber.
