As the 2019 Lok Sabha election is approaching, the political rhetoric has begun and Congress president Rahul Gandhi has taken a dig at PM Narendra Modi, over the latest video of economic offender Nirav Modi and said, “it has uncanny similarity with PM Modi.”
Rahul Gandhi, in a tweet has said, “The video of fugitive #NiravModi in London shows an uncanny similarity between him & his bhai (brother), PM Modi. Both have looted India and are called Modi. Both refuse to answer any questions. Both believe they are above the law. Both will face justice.”

Both have looted India and are called Modi.
Both refuse to answer any questions.
Both believe they are above the law.
Both will face justice. https://t.co/20Y36iVj2Y
BJP was quick to respond and brought the UPA-2 under the clouds when they asked the Gandhi scion in a tweet, “Profound argument from a man who himself has a stolen surname. BTW, is it not true that in Sept 2013, you visited Nirav Modi's bridal jewellery exhibition in Delhi and the next day Allahabad Bank approved loan to him, despite opposition from the bank's director? No comments?”
Days after businessman Nirav Modi fled the country after siphoning off Rs 13,000 crore in India’s one of the biggest banking scam, he was seen walking freely on the streets of London by the journalists of The Telegraph, who immediately interviewed him but the only answer Nirav gave was, “No comment.”
Although, Congress was swift in tweeting its reaction over the video and it said, “Journalists of The Telegraph managed to track down Nirav Modi. Why was the Modi Govt unable to do so? Who is Modi trying to protect? Himself, Nirav Modi or the people who let him escape?”
