Amid the confusion over the Chief Ministers appointment, Rahul Gandhi has given a green signal over Kamal Nath’s name as the CM of Madhya Pradesh.
After a tussle between Jyotiraditya Scindia and Kamal Nath’s name, Congress president Rahul Gandhi has finalized the name of the old guard and a member of parliament since 1980, Kamal Nath, after the Congress formed the Government.
After the hung assembly in the election, the Congress emerged as the single largest party with 114 seats but fell 2 short of the magic number. And, it was BSP’s Maywati who won 2 seats then extended support in the closely fought election, where the BJP won 109 seats.
The farm distress, inflation, mob lynching, unemployment and high level of anti-incumbency were some of the major reasons where th elections were fought and the results was decisive in the Congress’ favor, which has made a comeback into the Hindi heartland.
