After Supreme Court’s clan chit to the BJP, the Congress party has challenged PM Modi to form a Joint Parliamentary Committee and probe the case.
The Supreme Court today rejected all the PILs linked to the Rafale deal and said that “no corporate favoritism was carried out in the Reliance-Dassault deal by the government.”
Now, Congress’ spokesperson Randeep Surjewala has challenged the PM Modi-led BJP government to form a JPC in the matter and call for a probe, in which all th edocuments will have to presented before the panel.
Randeep said, “The verdict of the Supreme Court today is a validation of what the Congress party stated months again, that SC is not the forum to decide the such sensitive defence contract,” adding that “Article 136&32 are not the forum to decide the issue, the pricing, the process, the sovereign guarantee&the corruption in the Rafale contract.Only forum&only media is a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) which can probe the entire corruption in Rafale Deal.”

Earlier, in the parliament, BJP MP’s went on to hold strikes inside the parliament house and the speaker had to then adjourn the house till December 17.
Home Minister Rajnath Singh has said that, “Congress President tried to mislead public for political benefit, and maligned Indian image globally, he should apologize to the house and to the people of the country. He thought 'Hum to doobe hain sanam tum ko bhi le doobenge.”
A clean chit from the Supreme Court in the Rafale is big boost for the BJP as after losing in the state assembly elections, the party was virtually on a back-foot and party president Amit Shah was not seen anywhere, but held a press conference as soon as the verdict of the apex court was pronounced.
