While India mourns the loss of 40 CRPF personnel in Pulwama attack, China has condoled the incident with “deep sympathies” to the families of soldiers in a message to Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj.
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, in his message, said that “terrorism is the common enemy of mankind and that the Chinese side resolutely opposes and strongly condemns all forms of terrorism.”
Indian counterpart have raised eyebrows as there was no mention of Pakistan in the condolence message, where China criticized terrorism and the attack in Pulwama was claimed by the Pakistan based terror group Jaish-e-Mohammed.
Wang Yi’s message to Sushma Swaraj also added that “Countries in the region should enhance cooperation, jointly address the threat of terrorism and maintain regional peace and security.”
While India has said that it had “incontrovertible evidence” against Pakistan which has carried out the coward attack from the shoulders of JeM, whereas Pakistan has clearly denied its involvement, calling the attack as a matter of “grave concern.”
India has earlier revoked the ‘Most Favored Nation’ status given to Pakistan after which the custom duty on goods from Islamabad gets hiked to 200%. India has also demanded several countries to criticize Pakistan and declare Masood Azhar as a “UN designated terrorist.”
India has requested United Nations “to ban terrorist organisations operating from territories controlled by Pakistan.”
