The Delhi Court on 27 October sent husband of Priya Mehra, who was shot dead in front of her two-year-old son, to three days police remand.
Pankaj Mehra had earlier confessed to killing his wife and revealed that the crime was carried out by him.
Mehra had alleged that car-borne assailants had attacked their car when the family was returning from a Gurudwara, in which Priya died after suffering severe bullet injuries. Both the infant and the Pankaj escaped unscathed.
On questioning, Pankaj confessed that he shot his wife and later concocted the story of assailants attacking them.
Police said Priya was Pankaj's second wife and he carried out the crime as he wanted to reunite with his first wife.
