New Delhi [India]: Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his gratitude to the workers who contributed to the construction and development of the new Parliament building.

In a special ceremony preceding the inauguration, PM Modi honoured the construction workers by presenting them with traditional shawls and mementoes as a token of appreciation.


 

'Sengol' Installed in New Lok Sabha Chamber by PM Modi

As part of the inauguration proceedings, Prime Minister Modi personally installed the sacred 'Sengol' in the new Lok Sabha chamber, situated beside the Speaker's chair, following ceremonial worship. Adheenams presented the historic 'Sengol' to PM Modi before its installation in the new Parliament building. The 'Sengol' serves as a national symbol representing the Amrit Kaal.

Prime Minister Receives Blessings from Seers of Different Adheenams

After the successful installation of the 'Sengol,' Prime Minister Modi sought the blessings of seers from various Adheenams in Tamil Nadu. This gesture symbolized the Prime Minister's reverence and respect towards the spiritual leaders.

Traditional 'Pooja' Marks Inauguration Ceremony of New Parliament Building

 

The inauguration ceremony of the new Parliament building commenced with a traditional 'pooja' enriched with Vedic rituals. Prime Minister Modi and Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla graced the occasion and actively participated in the sacred ceremony.
