Todays’s Rashtriya Swayamsevaak Sangh organising an event to celebrate the concluding ceremony of education class in Resham Bagh Maidan of Nagpur. The former Congress leader and former Indian President Pranab Mukherjee will become the part of this ceremony in evening today. However, Pranab Mukherjee is not the first non-RSS and non-BJP leader who is attending RSS event. In the past time also many other senior leaders of different ideology have participated in RSS event.
The name of Mahatma Gandhi is the biggest name among the people who have attended RSS event in the past. The senior leader of RSS claims that Mahatma Gandhi himself participated in a Sangh camp organised in Wardha in 1934. After that, he met with the founder of RSS Dr K. B. Hedgewar. And discussed the future of RSS with him.
Apart from it, Mahatma Gandhi also addressed the member of Sangh at the morning of 16 September 1947 in Delhi. There he praised the discipline, simplicity and harmony of the Rashtriya Swayamsevaak Sangh. Gandhi Ji said ‘ Once, I went to the RSS camp decade ago, that time the founder of RSS was live.
According to the reports, the former president of India Dr Zakir Hussain also participated in the event of RSS.
Jaiprakash Narain also took part in the event of Rashtriya Swayamsevaak Sangh and he also praised RSS for several qualities. JP Narain addressed a member of Sangh on 3 November 1977 in Patna.
According to the claims, Bhim Rao Ambedkar also visited the education function of RSS in 1939.
Apart of the political personalities the former General and Field Marshal Cariappa also participated in the RSS event in 1959.
Shri Ravi Shankar also participated in RSS event in 2014.
According to the RSS, Ratan Tata visited the Sangh’s headquarter once, he wanted to understand the RSS working style.
