After Bharatiya Janata Party's Sandeep Gavai siphoned win in Shiv Sena's bastion, the party on 12 October asserted that if its ally does not shed arrogance it will have to face defeat in future as well.
Averring that if Shiv Sena ditches the grand alliance in Maharashtra it will never win, BJP MP Kirit Somaiya said the seat (ward number 35-A) from where Gavai has won once belonged to Shiv Sena.
"Talk to Rahul baba and make your government," Somaiya mocked Sena.
This comes after BJP's Sandeep Gavai won Nagpur Municipal Corporation's by-election from ward number 35-A.
Sandeep Gavai defeated Congress' Pankaj Thorat.
The ward no 35-A seat of NMC fell vacant after the demise of the first-time corporator Nilesh Kumbhare. Kumbhare contested elections on the ticket of Republican Party of India (RPI) with support from BJP.
