Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi gives an address to the nation through his monthly radio programme, Mann Ki Baat during the time the coronavirus cases have gone beyond the five lakh mark on Friday.
Just prior to PM Modi's address to the nation, Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury stated that the nation would want be aware of what is actually taking place in Ladakh.
"Hon'ble PM of India Sh @narendramodi Ji, countrymen want to know from your voice about what actually is transpiring now in Ladakh region, please address the nation of what is what in Ladakh?" he said.
PM Modi started his programme by enumerating the problems and crisis the country experienced since the beginning of 2020. However, he suggested the citizens not to tag the year 2020 as a bad year just because so many problems took place.
"People are commonly talking about one thing- when will 2020 end. They feel it has been a year of many challenges. There could be any number of challenges but our history shows that we've always overcome them. We've emerged stronger after challenges," said PM Modi.
The Indian Prime Minister has stated that India is having a crack at neighbour issue and the country will come out stronger. "In Ladakh, those who challenged us were given an adequate response. Our braves made supreme sacrifice but did not let adversary prevail. We feel the pain of their loss. Their valour is India's strength," PM Modi said.
PM Modi also commemorated the brave martyrs, who lost their lives in Galwan Valley face-off "The inner sense of pride that families feel on the supreme sacrifice of their brave sonstheir sentiment for the country, constitutes the true power, the might of the country. India bows to our brave martyrs. They have always kept India safe. Their valour will always be remembered," he said.
While talking about border stand-off with china, PM Modi said, The world has seen India's commitment to protecting its borders & sovereignty. In Ladakh, a befitting reply has been given to those coveting our territories.

PM Modi also shared the messages he had reseived from all parts of the country for his radio programme. "Rajani ji from Assam writes 'After what has happened in East Ladakh, I have not only resolved to buy only local but always be vocal for local'. Similar messages are coming from all parts of the country,” he said.

The Prime Minister has stated that India is unlocking and it is a time to work together to make the country "self-reliant". "India is unlocking, be it in sectors like coal, space, agriculture and more. Time to work together to make India self-reliant and technologically advanced," he said.
Commending how migrants have changed things around them. The Prime Minister said You would be seeing many inspiring stories of migrant labourers. In UP's Barabanki, labourers who returned from outside started working to restore natural form of Kalyani river. While staying in isolation, the way migrant labourers have changed things around them is commendable.
