Prime Minister Narendra Modi today released a commemorative coin on the birth anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh, in the presence of former PM Manmohan Singh.
PM Modi has commented upon the need to connect with the holy shrine which is currently in Pakistan, and released the coin which has marked the anniversary of Guru Gobind Singh in Delhi.
PM Modi said at the release function that “Through Kartarpur corridor, Sikh devotees will be able to make visa-free pilgrimage to Darbar Sahib in Narowal, Pakistan, on the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev.”

While commenting upon the Kartarpur corridor, which was recently started to bridge the gap between India and Pakistan and bring the pilgrims near to the holy shrine.
PM Modi said, “August 1947 mein jo chuk hui thi, yeh uska prayaschit hai. Humare guru ka sabse mehatvapurn sthal sirf kuch hi kilometer dur tha lekin use bhi apne saath nahi liya gaya. Yeh corridor uss nuksaan ko kum karne ka pramanik pramaan hai.”
