Prime Minister Narendra Modi today visited Odisha and met the parents of the Doordarshan cameraman who was killed in a Maoist ambush last year.
The cameraman Achutyanand Sahu, who was killed by Maoists in October 30 last year, was reporting there with two of his colleagues in the Maoist-affected area of Dantewada to cover the upcoming Chhattisgarh election.
Two policemen were also killed in the attack where the Maoists had later on apologized, stating that they weren’t aware about the whereabouts of journalists and had not intention to kill them, and that they even don’t have any animosity with the messengers.
