Ahead of the next phase of polling on April 18, PM Narendra Modi is campaigning in the down South for the Lok Sabha polls and has taken a jibe at the Grand Alliance led by the Congress.
While mentioning about the ideological guru MGR for the Tamil Nadu residents, PM Narendra Modi said that his government was dismissed and dissolved by the Congress, thereafter he also mentioned the Bhopal Gas tragedy and how under the Congress government, it became the worst environment disaster.
PM Modi, while addressing the rally in Theni said, “Who will do Nyay to governments of the great MGR Ji, which were dismissed by Congress just because one family didn't like those leaders? Who will do Nyay to victims of Bhopal Gas Tragedy, among the worst environment disasters in India. That too happened under Congress.”

While taking a jibe at the Opposition’s alliance and their projection of Rahul Gandhi as the next Prime Mijister, PM Modi said that everyone wants to become PM in their faction and even other allies and friends of the ‘Mahagathbandhan’ have disagreed upon Congress presidents name as the next PM.
At the rally in Theni, PM Narendra Modi called out the DMK chief MK Stalin and said, “Some days ago DMK Supremo projected the 'naamdar' as the PM candidate when no one was ready to accept it, not even their 'mahamilawati' friends, Why? Because they all are in the line to be PM and dream of the post.”
The BJP has tied up with the AIADMK, PMK in Tamil Nadu and the state holds 39 seats plus one in Puduchery.
