PM Modi gets emotional in Bahrain on Arjun Jaitley death: I am here and my dear friend is no more

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is in Bahrain and he went there for G-7 Summit. However, in his absence, former Union minister Arun Jaitley died of prolonged illness on 24th August. PM Modi who met the Indian community in Bahrain, and while addressing them he felt emotional over the death of Jaitley. He even remembered former External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj who died of cardiac arrest on 6th August.

While addressing the Indian community in Bahrain, PM Modi said,  "I cannot think that I am here in Bahrain and my dear friend Arun Jaitley is no more. Some days ago, we lost our former Defence Minister Behen Sushma Ji. Today my friend Arun left. He was a friend who stayed at every step."

 

"I pay tribute to my friend Arun Jaitley from the land of Bahrain," he said while addressing the Indian community. PM Modi also appreciated the role of the Indian community in Bahrain for their help in the economic development of India and for keeping the Indian flag flying high.

PM Modi also wished the community on the auspicious occasion of Janmashtami and said that he would be also visiting the Shrinathji temple in Manama on Sunday and will pray for peace and prosperity in Bahrain.
