A 9-year-old boy suffered injuries after a Pitbull dog attacked him in Uttarakhand’s Haridwar on December 5. The city police have registered a complaint against the owner of the dog under the relevant sections.
"The child's father lodged a complaint and on the basis of which a case was registered against the owner of the dog, Shubham, under section 289 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Further action in the matter is underway," said City Circle Officer Manoj Kumar Thakur.

Notably, incidents of stray dogs attacking children have increased across the country lately.
In October this year, a one-year-old child was mauled to death by a stray dog in Noida, Uttar Pradesh.
