A passenger boat, which was carrying Maharashtra’s chief secretary in Mumbai has capsized near Shivaji Smarak. No casualties have been reported until now.
The passenger boat was in the waters near Mumbai’s famous Nariman point, which is 2.6 km in west direction.
The boat belongs to Maharashtra government and the rescue operations are underway. Most of the people have been rescued until now.
According to Indian Coast guard PRO “Coast guard hovercraft has reached the spot; our choppers are also involved in rescue. Most of the people are already rescued.”
More details are awaited.
