The ruling party Bharatiya Janata Party has decided to go on strike on 12 against the parliament disruption done by the opposition parties.
Union Minister Ananth Kumar said that BJP MPs have decided to observe a fast on April 12 to protest against the parliament logjam.
"The Congress party is intolerant of the mandate given to (Prime Minister) Narendra Modi in 21 states," Union Parliamentary Minister Ananth Kumar was quoted by NDTV. He along with other MPs marched through the parliament complex showing posters and placards and shouting slogans.
BJP MPs would observe a one-day fast all over the country in their constituencies. The BJP has accused opposition parties especially Congress and Sonia Gandhi of disruption of the parliament. Yesterday, reacting to the accusation of th disruption of the parliament, Congress Chairperson Sonia Gandhi slammed Ananth Kumar.
"I think it's shameful that the parliamentary affairs minister can speak such lies on the floor of the house,” she said.
On the other hand, Congress leaders, for the first time, skipped tea hosted by Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan this morning. They were protesting against the way the disruptions in the house were handled by doing so.
For the most of the time, Parliament’s budget session underwent repeated adjournment with much progress as there were daily disruptions and protests.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also accused opposition parties especially Congress of disrupting parliament session. On the other hand, the opposition parties are complaining that they are not being let to raise the issue matter to them.
