The apex court, while hearing a plea filed by a lawyer, stated, "We cannot interfere with the CBFC's work."

While talking of his death, a statement from the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation said: “Inmate Charles Manson, 83, died of natural causes at 8:13 p.m. on Sunday, November 19, 2017, at a Kern County hospital.”
