Nigerian actor who worked in Bollywood films held at Delhi’s IGI airport

A Nigerian actor has been detained by CISF personnel at the Delhi airport on Thursday. He was apprehended for allegedly overstaying in the country, officials said.

Police officials said Olamilekan M Akanbi Ojora was arrested around 4 am at the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGAI) after security personnel found him roaming suspiciously in the terminal area.


Ojara had a ticket to Goa via Vistara airlines flight and when he was questioned, he said that his visa had expired, an official said.

CISF also confirmed with the immigration and central intelligence agencies about Nigeria celebrity’s visa expired date.

 

 

The officials of immigration and central intelligence agencies said that Ojora’s visa had expired in 2011.

“The man enjoys celebrity status in his country and has also acted in some Hindi movies. He was living in India illegally,” a senior CISF officer said.

Meanwhile, CISF personnel has handed over him to intelligence bureau officials for further investigation.
