The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy of Odisha on Tuesday allotted 73.86 acres of land in Bhubaneswar for construction of National Institute for New Energy and Innovation.
The institute is being set up to promote research and innovation in the
renewable- energy sector.
The ministry is yet to take possession of the land.
The land has been allotted near the Indian Institute of Technology ( IIT) Bhubaneswar.
The Government of Odisha had taken several steps in accordance with National Development Goals to announce the Odisha Renewal Energy Policy 2016.
