Two persons were killed as a huge tree fell on their vehicle near the 7th mile area in Nagaland's Dimapur district, police said on Saturday.
According to police, a taxi was proceeding towards Kohima when the incident took place on Friday evening.
The uprooted tree crushed the roof of the vehicle and killed the passenger and the taxi driver on the spot, they said.
The deceased have been identified as Kedichol of Kidima village, an employee of Nagaland State Transport and Ranjit, a resident of Niuland, Dimapur.
